Gesbey, in Balikesir Gönen where it operates, carries out various projects in collaboration with Gönen Directorate of National Education in the field of training in order to contribute to the community. In this context, during regular visits made to Vocational School of Higher Education and Vocational High Schools in the region, Gesbey organizes hands-on trainings and seminars on technical and vocational subjects for students. In addition, in order to guide young people in knowing the industry and on their choice of profession in the future, it hosts students in its factory and organizes site visits as well as information presentation on occupational safety and profession.
Within the scope of contribution to education, Gesbey also contributed to the enrichment of libraries in schools by supporting with donation of books to the “Gönen Okuyor” (Gonen is Reading) project that is conducted under the Balikesir Development and Monitoring the Qualification in Education Project.
Turkish Red Crescent Blood Donation
Gesbey employees have been voluntarily donating blood to the Red Crescent twice a year since 2014 under the collaboration with the Red Crescent Balikesir Provincial Directorate.
Gönen Sarıköy Multi-Program Anatolian High School
Gesbey, together with its employees, voluntarily supported the painting of the main building, where the classrooms exist, and social areas of Gönen Sarıköy Multi-Program Anatolian High School. As a result of two-week lasting works, ground of volleyball court, benches, paving stones and all iron bars around the school, ground lines of application workshop inside the school, workshop tables and doors as well as administration building of the school have been painted.
IT Fair Sponsorship
Gesbey was among the sponsors of IT Festival in 2016-2017, where the projects ranked in the high school and secondary school competitions that are organized by TUBITAK (Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey) were exhibited in Gönen.
Turkish Wind Energy Congress
Gesbey was among the sponsors of the 8th Turkish Wind Energy (TUREK) Congress organized by the Turkish Wind Energy Association on November 5-6, 2019. In the Congress, which is an important meeting point for sector managers, problems and potential and future expectations of the sector were discussed in detail.
